This is normally done by installing the iTunes&nbsp;desktop&nbsp;version, but if you prefer not to install iTunes, and are technically inclined, you can install the Apple Mobile Device Driver and its services independently of iTunes using a number of approaches. Note that these approaches aren&#8217;t supported for iOS synchronization as they may not work for all users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;ve previously installed\/uninstalled iTunes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Install the drivers from a residual copy of the drivers on your C: drive\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Apple\\Mobile Device Support\\Drivers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Right-click on usbaapl64.inf and click &#8216;Install&#8217;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>OR, Install the drivers using the device manager\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect your iPhone\/iPad<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the Windows Start button and run the &#8216;Device Manager&#8217;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click Universal Serial Bus devices\/controllers and right-click on the Apple Mobile USB Devices to Update &amp; Enable them<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>OR, Click Portable devices &gt; Apple iPhone and right-click to Update &amp; Enable it <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;ve never installed iTunes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Install the drivers directly from iTunes (without installing iTunes)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Download the latest&nbsp;<strong>desktop<\/strong>&nbsp;version of iTunes (&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/itunes\/download\/win64\">64-bit version<\/a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/itunes\/download\/win32\">32-bit version<\/a>&nbsp;).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Download and install a program that can open and extract contents from a CAB file such as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.7-zip.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">7-zip<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rarlab.com\/download.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WinRar<\/a>&nbsp;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inspect the content of the iTunes installer iTunes64Setup.exe <em>or iTunesSetup.exe<\/em> (that you downloaded in step 1) with 7-zip (right click, 7-zip, Open archive). 7-zip will show the files inside the installer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extract&nbsp;AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi&nbsp;<em>or AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi<\/em> from the installer file to your harddisk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run&nbsp;AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi <em>or AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After Apple Mobile Device Support have been installed, connect your iOS device to your PC and Windows should be able to detect it correctly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start MediaMonkey and your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediamonkey.com\/wiki\/WebHelp:iPod_Synchronization\">Apple device<\/a> will be detected, so that you can use MediaMonkey for Windows to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediamonkey.com\/wiki\/WebHelp:Exporting_Tracks\">Sync<\/a> to the device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>OR install the drivers without installing iTunes using a third party app (note that these aren&#8217;t supported by Apple or MediaMonkey). Possible options are:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/imazing.com\/\">iMazing<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.copytrans.net\/support\/install-iphone-ipod-touch-and-ipad-drivers-without-installing-itunes\/\">CopyTrans Drivers<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.winxdvd.com\/mediatrans\/\">WinX Media Trans<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Whichever approach you take, ensure that only a single set of drivers is installed to avoid conflicts, and note that the device will not be visible in Windows until you <strong>respond to the device prompt to &#8216;Trust&#8217; this computer<\/strong> when you connect it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To Sync with Apple iOS devices, MediaMonkey for Windows requires the latest Apple Mobile Device Drivers to be installed.
