A good indication would be a throbber (like the one in FireFox) that would stop when the search is finished.

Maybe I'm missing some "obvious" UI element, but I still don't see anyway to know whether a search has finished. Is there any way to know that I have all the results I'm going to get? If not, am I the only one who'd kinda like to know?
