Some P2P programs have the ability to move files once downloaded. You might want to do that and scan that folder instead of the incoming folder if possible.

I'm not sure that MediaMonkey would have a way to identify non-complete files.

Thanks for the help. I didcided to delete them

Indeed - two causes, barely distinguishable in MM use. Definitely sounds like an opportinity for UI improvement.

Some P2P programs create the files when starting the download. MediaMonkey would than scan these files in while they still haven't been downloaded. MediaMonkey will show them as grey when playing as it fails to play them.

The other option is that the files aren't available. You can use Files to Edit > Dead Links to quickly delete all these tracks from the library/

This baffled me too. It really is rather user hostile. Far better to show an error dialog, or at least an error message on the status bar.

Generally when the track fades or 'goes gray' it means that MM doesn't know the location of the file and cannot play it.

This either means that the files that MM links to have either been removed from the computer, renamed or moved (outside MM, as if this all were done in Mediamonkey, the library would have updated itself)

You haven't move or renamed the files in explorer since you added them have you?

I added 1000 songs from Bitcomet to my library. When I click on one to play, the title turns to faded print and it plays a completely different song.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
