We're actively looking into the USB Stick problem (covered in another thread).

Re. CDs triggering a freeze:
1) Did you install MM3 on top of MM2.x? If yes, please uninstall completely and re-install. i.e. after you uninstall, delete the contents of /Program Files/MediaMonkey, then delete the MM3 DB (on XP it's at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey\MM.db )

2) If 1) doesn't solve the problem, please send me a debug log as described at step 4b) c): http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=341

I also experienced a freeze with the latest RC version when I inserted a usb stick. Somehow MM didn't appreciate it. :-?

It's still the same behavior with RC1, but now MM3 freezes again. no error messages.

Anything I can do to find the root cause?

there is only a slightly change in B4. Instead of a freeze I'm getting error messages.
I sent them to Ventis.

Update to Beta 4, see if that fixes it.

with some CDs I found the problem that MM freezes after insert the CD. After rejecting the CD MM comes back to live and shows a dialog "No audio CD was found. Please insert a CD."
