I am officially a dufus.

I don't know how many times I read the opacity had to be 100%, it didn't register. I don't think I can make any excuses.

Thanks nohitter.

I then have to go to preferences and select a few skins, 3-8 or so, until one finally embeds. Then everything works wonderfully. As I mentioned earlier, I try to find a solution to my problem before I post. This post looks just like my problem and the Embedder Console.exe is the next thing to try. I just don't have it.

I'm not sure what else to do.

Thank you again for all your help and attention.

Everything was working perfect, but I started up this morning and now the minilyrics are displaying outside of their embedded window. They are at the top left of the player and I nothing I do will make them move!

This is what I see: http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/4453/brokencl7.jpg

Any idea how to fix this?
Minilyrics must be at 100% opacity or there will be embedder errors.

So you've ensured that opacity is set to 100% and that the skin you're using is non-transparent?

Understood.

I found this thread that had the same problem I was having and had the same solution as the thread you directed me to; running the executable that I don't have in my scripts/auto folder. I thought since it was a smaller thread my response/cry for help might not get lost and I would be able to get direction on where I could download the file.

I've read the posts and already done everything that is suggested to others. I think this executable is my only next option.

I am also having the same problem, that MiniLyrics is not embedding properly. Nohitter directed me to this thread and I'm sure we can fix my problem here.

I don't have the "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\MiniLyrics Embedder Console.exe" file where you say it should be. I am using the latest MiniLyrics program and nothing is set to transparent or any other such thing. So, if you tell me where to get this (I also didn't see it at crintsoft.com) I will run it and see what happens.

Thank you.

Thanks Steegy,

Setting to 100% opacity seems to have finally solved things.

Thanks very much

Make sure that the MiniLyrics background isn't set to transparent (non-100% opacity).

I should have quiet.

Re booted PC and the old problem returned.

However, If I change the minilyrics skin to Winamp the lyrics appeard properly embedded. I can then change the skin to my preferred one with no problem.

I have to do the above each time I launch MM.

Strange

Many thanks nohitter,

Working perfectly now.

I've got the lyrics panel sitting nicely above the playing now panel, but can drag it up so that I can see most if not all of the lyrics, or, if I'm feeling really indulgent, stretch them across the whole screen.

The only thing that I would like to see improved in MM is it's database capabilities in respect of holding artist, track and album information; there are other programs out which are better. Still onwards and upwards to Versions 4,5.

Glad you got it sorted out! MM + Minilyrics = perfection!

SOLVED, at least for now.

I might be getting somewhere.

If I drag my white Embedded Minilyrics panel to the top left of the screen the lyrics magically appear within the panel.

However in any attempt to move the panel elsewhere, the lyrics refuse to move with it.

I can also drag the lyrics themselves. But they disappear if I drag them outside the panel

Seems to me that minilyrics is running properly but not embedding themselves properly in the panel.

How can I resolve this?

Quick update.

With MM and minilyrics running and playing a track which has lyrics, lyrics (but not necessarily the correct ones) appear in the panel, for about half a second and then disappear.

This is getting most frustrating

I notice in an early post (see below) reference to to an executable program "MiniLyrics Embedder Console.exe".

I don't to seem to have this program loaded. Could this be the problem?

If this can help you more:
- Install MiniLyrics ( http://www.crintsoft.com ) for MediaMonkey. The latest versions of Miniyrics support MediaMonkey without you having to do special tricks. So best use the most recent MiniLyrics version.
- Make sure that MiniLyrics is set to automaticly start up with MediaMonkey.
- Install the auto-script (vbs) and the embedder (exe) in MediaMonkey's Scripts\Auto folder, like you already did.

If it still doesn't work, then:
- Make sure that MediaMonkey is running and the "Embedded MiniLyrics" dockable panel is visible.
- Make sure that MiniLyrics is running.
- Execute >>"C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\MiniLyrics Embedder Console.exe" embed<< (without >> and <<, using Start > Run)
