Both items were resolved in RC3.

The failure to auto-check the grouping field on mass edits is a known issue.

Hopefully we'll get to it for 3.0.

I have discovered that the matter with this is that the box next to the field is not checked automatically when entering a value and two or more rows are selected.

I select several tracks either continous or discontinous. Open properties and set a value in the Grouping field. Press OK and nothing is set. It works fine for just a track.

Re. 'several lines' can you elaborate and explain what you're trying to do?

MM3RC2, it's not possible to assign several lines at the same time to the Grouping field. It's not possible to build autolist using Grouping as condition.
