I also have the same problem but I use Mediamonkey for syncing my ipod, I use itunes or winamp for transferring videos but when I rebuild the device database with MM3 the video names become their filenames, If I only rebuild the database based on newly added tracks that doesn't happen but it doesn't fix the album art on the music either. There should be a third option for rebuilding the device database where it rebuilds it the same way as the one for newly added tracks but instead all tracks with a certain extension so it doesn't touch the M4Vs. Also when I update the album art for an item in my library, sometimes it syncs the update to the ipod when I autosync it and sometimes it doesn't, sometimes closing and opening MM or deleting and re-syncing the tracks helps, I can't tell exactly what the problem is but I think it has something to do with the timestamps when updating the files, I have it set so it updates the timestamps on edits.
