version

Using version 3.0

Gave up on the ipod plugin, rename the dll for it to .bak.

forces it to use the generic plug-in.

Thanks guys for the help but I gave up on this long ago, it wasn't worth the trouble.

Any way we can get a checkbox on the ipod plugin for rockbox enabled?
I think you have to have at least 2.5.5 installed for the registry key to work.

No go for me

Hmm, thats odd. Any chance you could post a screenshot of your iPod configuration so I could take a closer look at whats going on? Or if you don't know how to do that you could just list off what you have checked off. Go down the options box and just list what is checked, what is typed into fields, and so on.

There is a "Playlists" file folder in my iPod but it's empty.

...so what next?

Well, there should be a folder on your iPod called "Playlists" that the .m3u's are synched to. You should be able to find them under "Playlists" in rockbox. Use Windows Explorer and check if there is a "Playlists" folder in the root structure of your iPod disk.

Thanks.

I changed the destination fields to \Playlists\ in MM after Using itunes to wipe it clean, then I re-installed RB...then used MM to sync.

I'm still unable to find my playlists. Where should I need to go in RB to see them?

Try just entering \Playlists\ into the destination field and let us know how that works.

What did you put in the "Destination" field?
The names of playlists.

Thanks Peke.

I made the addition in the registry(correctly I assume...Edit>New>DWORD value>EnableM3UConfiguration>value data:1)...does this seem correct?

I'm getting a message at times on my iPod when connecting to PC: " ERROR ACCESSING PLAYLIST CONTROL FILE"...I'm guessing that somewhere something is screwed up...

I can't see any of my assigned playlists in RockBox(or don't now where to look). When I sync to Media Monkey I'm now able to change the "Destination" and "Copy .m3u" fields(in Options> Auto-Synchronization list) I've typed in my playlist names and selected 'yes'. I've wiped my iPod clean and re-synced w/ MM. I see all of my mp3 files properly...but no playlists. I'm new to RB but I've figured out how to use most options and I've been just shuffling through my 6,700+ files.

Before I give up(after many hours of pulling my hair out) can anyone offer me some additional help?

thanks

1. Start -> Run -> regedit
2. HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Songs-DB (For MM3RC3+ it is named mediamonkey) -> Device -> iPod{Serial number here} -> EnableM3UConfiguration

Thanks but how/where do I go to make those changes ?

" 1. Create a DWORD value: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareSongs-DBDeviceiPod{Serial number here}EnableM3UConfiguration
2. Set the value to '1' "
