last night, on my first ever attempt to use media monkey and update/populate my playlist, i got the "blue screen of death".

i have a very new and relatively fast machine with 2G ram. i was running rhapsody, a few windows of mozilla, outlook, maybe azureus and waiting for the media monkey playlist to update. it seemed to be running fine, was about halfway through the playlist update when it blue screened (which has never happened before, even in graphic intensive games). restart, try again. error. uninstall, reinstall, error almost right away. did this a few times. no luck.

thank you for your reply. i just recently downloaded the free version. is it safe to assume that it is MM3? i do not use an external drive. all files with my music (mp3, wav, flac) are in folders on my desktop. no network, everything is located on my local machine. i will try to take some screen shots of the errors.

where do i find this "debug" version of MM3 you mentioned?

For better understanding about your problem you would install debug version of MM3 and send bugreport. Also you can send me your MM2 DB too for analyze (petr < att > mediamonkey < dott > com).

keep getting multiple errors when trying to update my library for the first time. freezes up the media monkey app. have to use task manager to get out. any ideas? i've un-installed and re-installed several times.
