OK, I've just glanced at the old version of this script to see if the original post mentioned what it is for...

It SEEMS to me that this script used to provide 'on the fly' autoDJ using LastFM
The idea for this script was, that I wanted a quick and easy way to 'play more from selected/current artist' instead of having to manually navigate to the desired artist and pick some tracks by hand. You can either have top tracks enqueued as returned by last.fm, or have the script shuffle the returned list then enqueue your selected number of tracks.
Does this functionality still exist (in this script or some other MM4 compatible script) and also what does this script actually do? The title is very specific, but when running it seems to just retrieve some track rating value from lastfm (45)

Thanks in advance for any light that's shedded.

Ooops! When used in entire library, it writes a value (45) to the Field (Title). artist / albumartist field's not recognised.

Perhaps I misunderstood the purpose of this script.

Is it like LastFmNode, returning the top tracks in your library by the artist of the selected song?

Thanks!

Hi guys!

Hoped to use this with MM4 but don't know how to work it... any guidance available? I haven't added to right click for script, but selected the seed track, did Tools>Scripts>ArtistsTopTrack> Used Title in Field, nothing seems to happen on OK.

I checked scripts folder and it's installed...

thanks in advance!

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm new to MediaMonkey, but I think I've finally found a media player I can stick with ;)

I like this script! Very useful! :)

I was looking through the script code and I noticed a comment about the functionality being complete, so I don't know if any enhancements are planned but I had some ideas :)

1. A new pane that shows all of the top tracks (configurable #) regardless if you have that track or not. This way you can see if there is something good that you don't have.
2. Threshold on what top tracks should be returned. For example, anything higher than 50 ignore.
3. It appears that the top tracks are pulled from the past 6 month list. It would be nice to have an option to pull from the past week.
4. In pane display rank and number of total scrobbles (in both month and week mode)
5. Ability to add your own top tracks or those from other users (e.g., http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/1.0/user/< ... tracks.xml)

All I get when I click on the TopTracks D/L link is a page filled with unrecognizable characters... no download, no installer.

Is this some fault of my browser?
I'll try it using a different one.

EDIT: Downloading w. IE gives me a .zip which I can't seem to do anything with.
