Thanks so much :)

I was pulling my hair out wondering what they deal was. I hope Microsoft finds a way to let us run that thing but with more control over what it goes crazy over.

Anyhow thanks

@nohitter151

thanks for your quick reply.
I huess the best solution is in between:

I just defined the whole MM-folder as accessable for all users (settings under properties>security...or similar, I just now the german terms)

Now every installation of scripts works fine AND MM is not started as admin but as a user

Good luck to all who probably had the same problem.

Best, Toni

You have to log in with admin rights then install the script, not just run MM as admin.

You could also just try turning off UAC (I find it to be quite annoying).

admin/user?! error on install scripts on MM3 using vista...

So far I thought I was not that stupid, but now...
Ok, e.g. to install iPlaylistimport by trixmoto

I FAIL permanently :(

I already checked this faq http://www.mediamonkey.com/faq/index.ph ... artlang=en

But nothing happens (?).

Details:
1. Closing MM
2. further properties: Run MM with admin-rights
2a) After UAC MM wants licencekey and wants to analyze data again...ok...done
2b) I guess a 2nd database for the admin-account was created (?!)
3. Closing MM
4. Run iPlaylistImporter14.mmip
5. MM opens without UAC the "user-account"-MM-database (not the one created in 2b?!)
6: Window: Want to install? > Yes
7. Error

What is wrong? Please help!

Thanks in advance, Toni
