I too use CATvids, you're right it is primarily a database manager, but you can certainly play by linking to either a website or a video file on your PC.

I use CATVids (and BookCAT and SoftCAT and CATraxx). All very powerful programs.

For anyone looking for a database system to store Movie information in, this program that I just discovered is GREAT. Its called Personal Video Database. It automatically looks video metadata up at IMdb, amazon, etc. It takes a little bit to figure out how to use it, but its pretty intuitive.

Take a look if interested:

Wouldn't it be rad for mediamonkey to also do video and e-books? lol.

@WPSean
I use MM for Music and WhereIsIt? for everything else. Actually MM is only app that was able to replace WhereIsIt? in some Functionality and Search Capability.

What do you want exactly to do? Do you want to easy-search them, or index them manually, or have the database? I'm using Google Desktop Search and is pretty enough for me, you can restrict it for indexing only a certain filetypes and places. OK, it's pretty simple solution, but I do have what I want -- quick search.

Hey guys,

Anyone know of any programs that are like Media Monkey, and as amazing as it, except specifically for file management? PDF's, Docs, xls, txt, etc. etc.?

THanks guys.
