It sounds like mixmeister is writting other tags as well. You should check the settings.

To make sure you can scan a file with mixmeister. Open the properties in windows explorer, check the tags (advanced view) and see what it says. You can actually do this before and after scanning with mixmeister.

i sucessfully used mixmeister on my mp3 to fill the bpm-field but when i rescanned them to my library my entries in the "genre" field were overwritten and filled with "unknown genre" . the bpm were filled in correctly... i used MM V2.3.1.832 no plugins/modifications.
