I've been having some problems with Mediamonkey (version 3.0.2.1134) on my computer for some time now but managed after some debugging to find the cause.
The system hangs when I start Mediamonkey - Windows Explorer is completely frozen and Mediamonkey does not respond when trying to shut it down (not even when trying to forcefully kill it using the task manager).
After some debugging I found that the cause of the problem was the USB stick I had mounted in my computer.
It seems this is related to the U3 software on the stick.
When the stick is removed, everything unlocks and the system is fine.
I have tried other USB sticks as well and it seems the problem is consistent when using U3 enabled sticks.
For sticks without U3, there is no problem.
U3 automatically mounts a virtual CD drive on the computer and it is when Mediamonkey tries to access this drive that the system hangs.
I am running on Windows XP Professional with SP2.
