That's on the main page on the left side right above the border of the Technical Support section.

Hi,

It's possibly an idea for people to be pointed to the Forum FAQ

I agree, the only thing that I did not like about the upgrade was the inability to be able to delete posts and the time delay in the email notifications. But the additional features are well worth that small inconvenience. I especially like the added ability to be able to change/update your forum subscriptions in the UCP. I still haven't figured out the advantages/disadvantages of the friends/foes section but otherwise I am enjoying the new board. :)

I love that the new forum remembers which posts I haven't read. Even after logging out it still shows that I haven't read certain posts when I log back in. It even remembers inside a post so if you have a multi-page post it shows as unread until you see the page with the new post.

I'm getting more used to the forum upgrade.

Yes, thanks so much for figuring it out. :)

How would you use it, I do not see a "delete" option on any of my posts?? Would this only take effect on posts after the config change?

Nyn

EDIT: You will only be able to delete your own posts that have been posted after the config change, I have answered my own questions.

Rusty:

Thanks for the reinstatement!! :P

Well, Jiri, I can't believe they'd remove the feature so it's probably in there somewhere. I'll try to find out what it is but I'm not an admin of any phpBB forum so my Google's probably not as good as your own documentation. ;)

These might help:

To clarify: the upgrade made was from phpBB2 to phpBB3. The new version has a lot of features, but I don't know how to enable deletion of own posts. In case you know how to configure it in phpBB (or have any other suggestion), feel free to e-mail it to me or post it here.

Well said, Nyn.

And Lowlander, thanks, but very often there will be no moderator on and I'd rather have the post removed now before someone else posts to it. To be fair, I hated the fact that I needed to contact a moderator to report spam. Now I have a report post button but I can't delete my own posts? This is a step in the wrong direction, IMO. This board is still powered by phpBB so it should be possible to enable that function. Someone just needs to do it.

Not very user-friendly to offer an "upgrade" but "downgrade" services available. :x

You can ask a moderator to delete a post/topic. We do seem to have this capability.
