The latest ZoneAlarm update fixes this issue.

for me the fact it did not uninstall on this dell threw me for a loop. which is why i started with the uninstalling of other items taking me all night and day. either way though through their short option adjustment, first or going through the long painful route i did, the only thing that worked was the adjustment of the option.

Yeah, same here, although I quickly figured that Zone Alarm was blocking all internet access. Luckily it didn't mess with my caps key.

thanks for reporting, that did help as I wasn't able to get on. Closed teh ZA and worked. But wouldn't have know teh solution. thanks again.

the bad part is the fact zone alarm sold out to another company last year, and upon digging in
bin's and other place's the company appears to be a front or a side party company owned by MS.

so they can't even get their stuff working with their own companys?

would have been nice to know this last night i been up all night and day doing all kinds of things to get it working again. and a simple little slide on the level adjustment bar would have done it in less then 30 seconds.

oh well it was time i guess to re do tons of files they must have been getting bit rot after 3 months.

kB951748 IS THE NUMBER. IT STOPS ALL INTERNET CONNECTIONS IF YOU HAVE ZONE ALARM YOU NEED TO TURN THE ZA'S OPTION FOR INTERNET SECURITY ZONE, ON THE FIREWALL PANEL OF THE ZA OPTIONS TO MEDIUM IN ORDER TO GET YOUR CONNECTIONS WORKING AGAIN.

VERY FEW PEOPLE ARE GETTING IT TO WORK BY UNINSTALLING THE mS UPDATE, ONLY SEEMS TO WORK ON OLD 9X SYSTEMS THAT WERE UPGRADED BY OVERWRITING THE OS WITH XP. OR XP PRO. OTHER SYSTEMS SEEM TO HAVE TO DO THE OPTION CHANGE IN ZONE ALARM.
