I just received an 8gb Zen for my birthday yesterday, and what a joy it was to synch it with MM. Plugged it in and synched...pretty much that easy. So tonight, I thought I'd put it through its paces a bit and I noticed a couple of things. I'm hoping one of you can enlighten me.
I created a filter that eliminated the Christmas genre. When I auto-synched, I expected it to use the filter...this doesn't appear to be the case it synched several christmas tunes. I know the filter is in effect, because when I look at the genre node, there is no Christmas node.
When I did the auto-synch, it didn't remove the folders from the first synch. I can see this being a huge problem, as I have several hundred folders. Having empty folders is just poor management. I'm sure it won't affect the player, it's just one of those things that kinda irritate you, because you know it isn't right. The songs within those folders were removed as part of the auto-synch so that was good.
Can you tell me if these are bugs, user education, or done by design?
TIA,
MPG
