The issue I was having with mixed up artwork seems to have been resolved. I removed 1188 of MM then deleted the remaining Program Files more importantly I also deleted all the data for Apple and MM under the Apps Data location of my user account. Then I installed MM 1189 and did a rescan of my music. I started with an intial transfer of 150 songs selected as albums from the Synchronisation Interface for the iPod. All seemed fine so I repeated with around 3,000 songs and it still seems fine

You are probably right, I was rather referring to iPods in general. In case of iPhone/Touch, since it isn't a Mass Storage device (i.e. no drive letter in Windows), MM doesn't normally read tags of the contained tracks. It will possibly also change in some of the future versions.

Mhhm. In my case the artwork is in tags- unless iTunes has somehow changed that. If there's any debug info I could provide I'd be happy to do that.

Just to clarify: MM really doesn't show artwork when browsing iPod/iPhone in case it isn't stored in tags. It possibly will be somehow modified in future version, but it hasn't been done so yet, particularly because of possible confusion caused by sometimes showing artwork from tags, sometimes from the internal DB stored in iPods. That said, everything related to synchronization should work fine, i.e. if you copy tracks from MM to iPod/iPhone, Artwork works fine.

I've not tried synchronization yet but have the issue that I cannot see the artwork that iPod shows (synced via iTunes) when browsing these pod in MM. This is an iPod Touch 2G.

I have the same problem with the mixed artwork. Also, if I try to fill the ipod completely, it fills it up, but shows no music.

I'can confirm that.
Uploading Artwork seems not to be fixed in the 3.0.6.1189 - RC1 Version.
I can't save the artwork directly to the Ipod nor can MM read the artwork from songs on the ipod.

I also got the strange thing that the artwork got scrambled up - but only for on one song of an album (the other songs don't have any artwork).

Yes, that's what I needed, it's quite clear then and 'no artwork' issue on Ipod Touch 2.0 will be fixed in a new release we'll make very shortly.

I'm not sure where the Generic USB plug-in configuration is so I went to the Device Manager and pulled up the Device Instance ID. I'm not sure if this is the same thing...

Just to note: docbobo said the artwork worked on his iTouch 1G FW 2.1.1. (http://mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=33435) So Paul's solution may be different. I am personally not seeing any artwork at all.

I'm having artowrk problems after a sync as well.

Whilst browsing the Album View on my 1G iPod Touch with fw2.1 I have some artwork but against the wrong album, some artwork against the right album and some albums have no artwork at all.

System setup:
Vista 32bit Ultimate with SP1
iTunes version 8.0
Media Monkey 1188
iPod Touch 1st generation, restored to factory default and updated to fw 2.1
MM Library cleared and rescanned
Sync ~750 MP3 songs from MM library to iPod Touch using auto-sync from a playlist

Rebooted iPod Touch with no effect either

Any suggestions?

It looks like the new Touch is somehow different (it's the only device I don't have for testing at this moment). However, I possibly have an idea, could you please check out what's the device USB ID? You can find it e.g. by going to Generic USB plug-in configuration and press Find Device button while your Touch is connected.

I have the Touch 2G, and I also have the no artwork problem. My art is saved in the tags.

Also, if I sync all my music (which is more than will fit) with the sync random subset box check, it appears to sync, but the files take up space, but aren't recognized in the ipod.
