Toaster, I know it would be nice. As I say anything can be excepted in Future.

Regarding Audioscrobbler search forum for more info and you will get you answers regarding it :(

For what it's worth, I use Toaster with WinAmp all the time, and it's awesome. Whenever a song changes, the art & verbiage slide over in my lower-lefthand corner. Then it slowly fades away.

It's sweet, and the lack of Toaster support is one of two things (Audioscrobbler) that is keeping me from moving to MM completely.

There are plans to make similar Notifications over plugin or in MM itself (Depends on To-Do) in the future, but I can't tell nothing more. Except that I do not have time to make plugin (Working on three jobs) and regarding MM we will see as it is not my call.

Please get this to work on MM! I would LOVE to have this feature very much!

No Sorry, I can't specify it.
I only read about it on the developers page of Toaster. In fact, Toaster doesn't get the Infos about the know playing file (Title, Artist, ...) it needs. But it gets the information which file MM is playing - because the Album Art is showing.
The Difference between the Album Art and the Artist, Title, ... is that the Album Art is read out of the mp3-Tag and the Artist, Title, ... is read by these get_extended_info mechanism, where I don't know what it is and how it workes.
If both would be read out of the mp3-Tag it would work completely, I think.

Can you be more specific. I'm curious what have you found? (Debug Logs Application massages, Function Calls,...) So I can try to localize problem and make solving easyer.

I tried Toaster with WinAmp without the Media Library and it worked.
What's missing in MM is the get_extended_info mechanism, whatever it is

by Lowlander » Fri Mar 11, 2005 3:37 pm

I believe that MM is incompatible with plugins based on the WinAmp Media Library protocol.

by onkel_enno » Fri Mar 11, 2005 4:35 am

I use MM 2.3.1.845 with win2k and it workes (a little).
But it only shows the Album Art, but not the Text
I'll try it again.

Toaster reads its meta data through Winamp using the standard get_extended_info mechanism and through the media library. The input plugin you are using must support this for Toaster to display the correct information. Ideally, the media library should also be enabled to get the most out of Toaster.
Any Idea how to get it work?

by Lowlander » Fri Mar 04, 2005 10:34 am

Ok, that is unfortunate.

Anyway I just wanted to test out one small feature where Toaster interacts with a new feature in a leaked version of the MSN Messenger. Just wanted to see if MM could make use of this.

Too bad..

Didn't work for me either.

I recently (with MM2.3 RCx) and quickly tried this plugin but it did not work :( (nothing happened).
If someone succeeded, please let us know.

That looks nifty. I'll give it a try when I get home.

Toaster plugin

Hi has anyone used the Toaster plugin for WinAmp http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=138586?

I don't seem to get it to work, so I was wondering if anyone has confirmed that it works with MM and any tips on how to get it to work if so.
