Clever! D'oh.

Thanks very much for that workaround Nyn - much appreciated.

So I'm refreshing the Beta Testing Page all the time.
If you Check "Subscribe Topic" (bottom left) to 3.1 Testing topic, you will be automatically emailed a notice when a new build is available.

Constant rebooting cos the main window goes haywire.

I was about to post that when it goes wrong, I end up with (no visible tracks, obviously, and) only 3 column headers - one of which is called "Description". I don't believe there is even a column called description usually is there? Maybe it's the SQL's word for the comment column but when when it all goes wrong (album art and album art with details are fine), that's what I get. A blank main window with completely different column headers - one of which is called "Description".

I didn't post that before bcos it says "resolved" but maybe the devs don't realize how badly broken my MM is. I can't avoid it by not 'closing to tray'. It's there all the time.

So I'm refreshing the Beta Testing Page all the time. I'd love to know if 1202 is going to get uploaded somewhere today.

My problem could be exacerbated by my poor graphics card. My main one's gone wrong so I'm using feeble internal one. HTH. Thanks for the replies. Apologies to nohitter for not contributing to this thread sooner. I had other MM problems too!
What scripts are you running, I only run into the problem when the scripts which use panels are installed. But if you want a workaround until the new build is released, you have to go to the podcast directories node and then back to any other node and all is well. Either that or uninstall the scripts. I am eagerly awaiting this one also because the workaround is a PITA and I do not want to remove the scripts because I want my testing to include any scripts that I normally use.

OK I'll stick with Glided. I probably won't post even if it goes wrong again, cos it's probably already fixed in 1202. I'll leave the devs in peace. Thank you.

The problem still persists with 1201 but switching skin back to 'glided' and restarting mm often fixes the problem.

Will we see that tonight?

My situation is the same but worse. I'd love to get my hands on even 1201.1 if it fixes this problem.

Thanks!
No such beast. :D
There are other fixes pending in 1202 that are also anxiously awaited.

Timo_Beil wrote:You can reproduce it:
1. Switch to windowed mode
2. make the MM window smaller
3. Switch on the general option "close to tray" and close MM via the context Menu of MicroPlayer.
4. Restart MM and restore the window.
--> The part of the formerly opened DetailView is punched out.
5. Disable "close to tray"
6. Restart MM
--> It's okay again
Timo, please check it out in next build. It should be fixed.

Nevermind, the issue is still there. Not sure why I didn't see it when I started up 1201 the first time, but it's back.

Unlikely. I did not test this myself. If others confirm that it is working fine, I will mark status as fixed 1201.

The original issue posted here seems to be resolved with 1201. Perhaps it was somehow related to the TIEHTTP changes made?

I too had my columns reset when upgrading 3.0.5 to 3.1.0.1198. Didn't experience the broken window though.

I have the same problem after installing 3.1.1198 over my existing 3.0 install.

after restarting, it seems to be ok.

I am suspecting it has to do with the initial import/usage of mm 3.0x column settings, since it appears that my columns are reset.
