Yes, I thought that had something to do with it.

It appears that this is a bug. It occurs when switching between iTunes and MediaMonkey (iTunes seems to change the device name, causing MediaMonkey to recognize it a s a different device).

Three .dll's means you have three iPod-syncing programs

by Catalina588 » Sat May 07, 2005 10:49 am

I also have three iPod.dlls. However, I also use WinAmp 5.8 with iPod support and iTunes (cautiously). I will be even more careful going forward as three programs thinking they own the iPod on the same boot is a disaster waiting to happen imho. I may be wrong on the diagnosis, but I bet I am close.

In MM, I set the .dll to do nothing in two cases (manual sync with no directories selected). The third .dll I set up to sync up the directories I needed. Note I have more GB of music in MM than the iPod can hold, so I can't test auto-sync.

I removed the WinAmp .dll to reduce conflicts.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, I think this is a feature...

It means you can have 3 different iPods syncing with MM. If you are married with kids, you'll probably need it at some point...

Mm i forgot to write my question
How do I remove the repeated plugins from the list? Thank you

d_iPod.dll x 3 in Plugin directory

Hi, I recently downloaded MM's latest alpha, and I've spotted, under the portable devices plugins tab, that the dll for the ipod appears not once, not twice but thrice. I haven't got any problems until now, but it just seems weird to me.

Note: there's only one d_iPod.dll file in the mediamonkey\plugins folder.
