It appears that in the most recent beta release (1213) this issue has resurfaced. Anyone else notice or experience this again??
Petr??

Thanks

Yeah, sometimes it takes a little diggin' and playing around to figure things out (at least for me).

It's also nice that there is this forum, thanks to people like PetrCBR, Lowlander, nohitter, & many others, I've been able to have questions answered and figure out how some things work.

Happy Monkeying!

wdpaynter wrote:Another problem with this is that I keep my albums within an artist sorted by year (newest first), but when i click on an artist in the tree the focus causes the first album alphabetically to take focus even though the albums are sorted by date. Please let me know if you understand what I mean.

Oh wow. I've been having this problem, I just didn't know how to articulate it into a bug report, because I wasn't sure what was causing it. I sort by year as well, and when I choose a new artist, it jumps down part way through the list. This makes a world of sense now. :)

Glad to see it's already set to be fixed. :D

I see. That's a shame as it is cosmetically displeasing. There should be a way to not have the focus show while only selecting the artist from the tree until the user clicks (or tabs) on any column in the main window.. In these examples I have yet to click on any column in the main window.

It seems that in all previous versions of MM you could arrow down through albums, just not through tracks on an album. Is there any work around or way of tweaking this? Maybe allowing for this to be turned on/off as an option.

Please let me know.
Thanks

That's classic focus rectangle and it isn't a regression. Using keyboard UP/DOWN In AA view + details you can move by albums (in case cover or Artist/Album column is focused) or by tracks. Second reason is that in AA view now you can use SPACE to select album/track (with CTRL key).
For these reasons focus selection must be visible to know what column/track is just focused.

The box looks like a dashed line around whichever item you have selected in the column.
Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean, but it does seem like a classic "focus" item used by many other programs. Maybe a regression??

I forgot about Album Art View. Here is an image of this instance:

I have done the same here, clicking on an artist on the right only. Notice that it shows that (1) track is selected even though I've yet to select any tracks.

Thanks

Thanks, Here is the link:

Notice that I have simply selected an artist in the tree to left, but the first song of the first album is pre-selected (highlighted blue) and there is the white dotted-line box I am talking about. This is not present in my other versions of MM.

Also, when I click on a title (or any column) the "white box" is around that text as well. Please see this second screen shot:

Please let me know what you think, maybe I'm doing something wrong and/or I have a setting off.
Thanks

1. Look at your keyboard.
2. Find the Print Screen button (It may be abbreviated to PRNT SCRN or PrtSc or anything like that) and press it
3. Go to start -> programs -> accessories, and open MSPaint.
4. Click edit on the toolbar in Paint, and point your mouse to PASTE. You should now have what you want in the box in Paint.
5. Save the printscreened material to a location where you can find it (your desktop).
6. Upload it, for example, toImageshack.
7. Paste the url they'll give you in your post.
8.You can use the preview button to verify if it worked.

:)

I don't know about any 'white' box around column. Can you post here any screenshot ?
