Ill bet you £100 that is proven false. The bug I reported is failure to refresh the text control. The bug you reported is failure to refresh the tree control.

I think you still don't understand, it's up to the developers to decide if they like or dislike the format things get posted. That you dislike it doesn't mean the developers do.

In this case my experienced behavior could be why you don't see the destination field getting populated. There is a real good chance that this is one and the same bug which is that the new folder doesn't get properly selected on creation. The symptoms are different, but that doesn't mean that the bug is. Besides grouping similar issues on the same feature allows a developer to tackle them all when modifying the feature.

This is why I reported them together knowing well I would again incur your wrath.

Good point. Developers, please would you ask that forum mods don't pollute bug reports with separate issues when filing in Mantis? Thanks.

I think it's up to the developers on how Mantis is used. If they don't see it fit that the 2 are mentioned together it will be separated. Remember Mantis is a bug tracking system for the developers not for users. They just opened it so users can have more insight into what is going on with MediaMonkey development.

I have a different incorrect behavior. When creating a new folder in a collapsed node, nothing happens at all. If I create a folder in an expanded node the node collapses. In both cases the folder does get created though.

1 Run Export all Playlists...
2 Click New Folder

Expected: tree shows new folder, tree selects new folder and hence (unlabelled) destination text control shows new folder.
Observed: as above, except destination text control fails to update, so the operation uses the wrong folder.

Workaround: in the tree, click off the new folder, then click the new folder.
