Re the original problem, I've gone through
http://www.google.cz/search?hl=cs&lr=&q ... rt=20&sa=N

and found something interesting here:

http://delphi.newswhat.com/geoxml/forum ... orland.com

i.e.
"I have found the problem : unexplainably vista haven't any default mail
handler but if
i run windows mail, in the general page of the options, vista show that this
application
is the default mail hadler.

To solve this problem i run the control panel and in the default programs
function
i set windows mail as default mail handler and all works fine.

No issues with Win XP Prof. and Otlook Express 2002
No issues with Win XP Home and Windows Live Mail 12.0.1606

Lowlander, how many accounts do you have in WML?

I'm on Windows XP. I will have to check tomorrow what the settings are in the Control Panel.

Testing with MediaMonkey 3.0.3 on Windows Vista it opens WLM (I think 8.5) and starts the compose email. The email has song title as subject but doesn't seem to have the file attached no errors occur even if compose message is closed.

I have WLM 8.5 and no issues when I set WLM as default mail client (Start -> Control Panel -> Internet options -> Programs -> Email -> WLM -> OK) Also Same thing with The Bat and Outlook Express 2003 (except one error (3) noted in Bug 5202)

I'll DL WLM 9.0 tomorrow to see if there is some issues with it, but as I see no issues on my end except some verbose explanations of Clients Modal Results.

Do you use Vista and what is set under:

I have Windows Live Mail client running and when using Send To > Email nothing happens but the MediaMonkey error. Now compose email window is launched, just the error message.

I need to know did you closed Opened Compose New Mail or Mail Was successfully send or you have save it in Outbox or ... and what mail client reported.

Here is my Example:
1. Right click on track -> Send To -> Email
2. Email Client Opened with Compose New Mail window
3. I closed Message as I want to cancel sending of mail
4. MediaMonkey reported Error Sending Mail (1)

Note: In case of step 3. if I save email to outbox or send it Mediamonkey report no errors

What details do you need to know?

Windows Live Mail is setup with 2 email accounts.
Outlook has no email associated with it (just tested for result).

Can you describe what you have done in Client?

Both applications give me: Error Sending Mail (2)

Can you please write down what error code is reported by MediaMonkey as they are maybe Modal Return codes from client and not MM bug but rather Regression?

Example:
Error Sending Mail (1) = I Canceled Compose of mail in Client

It's reported as Mantis bug 5202.

That's correct, I got time to test and MediaMonkey with Windows Live Mail as default client doesn't work.
