I can see My Computer and browse through it. I can browse through any drive and add music files. I just can't browse through my external hard drive (where my WMA Lossless files are located)

One Q, do you see drive in MMs 'My Computer' Node and can you browse thru it?
If not Can you make one snapshot of MM Tree with opened root 'My Computer' node and one with opened Windows 'My Computer' Window.

I am having trouble accessing the files on the external drive. I opn MediaMonkey and try to scan the drive but no files are added. In fact I can't even see the folders on the drive.

I beleive the issue has to do with my first install of MM a few weeks ago. I tried to scan the files then and when I couldn't I opened up Windows Explorer and realized that I couldn't access my files through Explorer either.

I've fixed the drive (defragmented it) and now I can use Winamp and dbpoweramp, etc... However when I try to use MM to scan the files, it doesn't. I'm assuming that it's treating the drive as it did when I was having trouble with it.

That's why I'm trying to do a complete uninstall.

BTW, I've been using XP the entire time.

Thanks again.

Was the extrnal drive originally scanned in with MM on a diferent operating system?

Windows XP will show a diferent serial number for the drive than Win 98

First of all, how are you trying to access the files in mediamonkey, explain a bit further.

Have you scaned for the files on the external disk yet, or is that where you are having problems?

I am trying to completely uninstall MM 2.4.

When I first loaded MM I was having problems with the external drive where my music is soterd so MM dod not work - could not expand folders on the drive to get to the music tracks.

I've now fixed the external drive however MM still can not "see" the tracks when I try to select the appropriate folder. I'm assuming that MM is somehow still treating the drive as if it has a problem and therefore it can not find the music files.

I've tried uninstalling MM and then searching for any files with "MediaMonkey" in the name and deleting those as well but it still doesn not work.

I'm not sure if I need to delete entries in the registry or somewhere else. How do I do a 100% uninstall?

Thanks for the help.
