@Fredke
Thx, for logs, I've been able to reproduce it and also been able to fix it in v1.0.2.16

I reproduce this also under Vista Business, SP1.

I have emailed you the files, but for public record, the LastFM_Cache.dat is empty and LastFM_Log.txt contains the following shortly after the exception:

Code: Select all

5/18/2009 8:43:08 PM: MediaMonkey v3.1.0

I get the same thing: Every time MM starts playing a new track, I get a dialog box announcing "Application Error: Exception EConvertError in module gen_LastFMScrobbler.dll at 000090EA"

Using MM RC 2 (3.1.0.1247) and the new scrobbler (1.0.2.15). This is completely reproducible: it happens every time I run MM. I tried uninstalling the scrobbler, closing MM, reinstalling the scrobble, and restarting MM and it still happens on every track.

System: Windows XP Pro, SP3 on a Dell Intel Core2 Duo 2.66 GHZ with 3.25 GB Ram and lots of free disk space.

If I uninstall 1.0.2.15 and install 1.0.2.14, I don't get the error.

I'm seeing the same behavior, DaKo.

No Problem, thank you two for reporting the issue and supporting MediaMonkey to be better with each version.

Official Version of last.fm scrobbler plugin v1.0.2.15 will be released within a day or two or even earlier.

Happy Monkeying!

No, there is no updated plugin yet.
Open "LastFM_Cache.dat" in some text editor and first line should start with "-" there should be no more lines starting with "-" ?

Code: Select all

-2209168800&a=Gerd Rubenbauer & Kalle Rummenigge&t=WM-Finale '90&b=Kult Fußball&l=67&n=24&m=
1241385358&a=The Fray&t=Syndicate&b=The Fray&l=210&n=&m=
1241385583&a=The Fray&t=Absolute&b=The Fray&l=227&n=&m=
Here are the steps how I fixed mawi27 cache file:
1. I closed MM
2. Oppened "LastFM_Cache.dat" and subtracted numeric from start of second line with value of "&l=???" from first line (1241385358-67 = 1241385291)
3. replaced negative numeric value in first line with newly created Numeric value and saved file.

So now "LastFM_Cache.dat" look like this

Code: Select all

1241385291&a=Gerd Rubenbauer & Kalle Rummenigge&t=WM-Finale '90&b=Kult Fußball&l=67&n=24&m=
1241385358&a=The Fray&t=Syndicate&b=The Fray&l=210&n=&m=
1241385583&a=The Fray&t=Absolute&b=The Fray&l=227&n=&m=
Like mawi27 confirmed Mm then sent Cache correctly to last.fm and no plays are lost.

NOTE: repeat steps in case more negative Numeric values are contained in "LastFM_Cache.dat"

Other than that theer are two more ways to regain submitting function:
1. Delete all lines that start with Negative value
2. Delete "LastFM_Cache.dat"

Finally Just in case I've added some checks in 1.0.2.15 so that track can't get negative value http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=5596 will fix the issue.
