Yup: "Theme: Windows Classic (Modified)"

Not in your case as you seem to run an unskinned Windows as well (Windows classic theme). I do have it on the Windows XP Embedded theme and I believe that the standard Windows XP themes also features this.

Coo... never seen that. It sounds like we have an undefined variable bug.

Seems to be working as expected here as well. I also tried turning off the transparency to no effect.

The only weird thing observed in unskinned is that all active application windows show a red X for close expect MediaMonkey (main window). The equalizer has a smaller x and also doesn't show in red (I wonder if it would need to be red for this close button version).

Yup.

Chris,

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that the 'X' in the upper right corner of the Equalizer config dialog is greyed out?

If so, I can't replicated (tried with skinned/unskinned NP docked / undocked).

btw, I noticed another related issue (not sure if it's related to what you're reporting):

1 Press CTRL-ALT-E to bring up the Equalizer

Expected: close box is not greyed, expecially as it is enabled as evidenced from the fact clicking it does close the Equaliser
Observed: close box is greyed.

This with MM non-skinned, and Win XP SP2 "Theme: Windows Classic (Modified)".
