1256 Failure of no-conversion sync is silent [BUG# 5819]

If the device config has no conversion from the source e.g. WMA to any destination format e.g.

Image

then the failure of auto and send-to sync gives no alert to the user i.e. the sync apparently completes but no files are transferred.

Cause found: the source was WMA and as the screenshot showed:

Supported formats on device
WAV

Seems MM silently fails in absence of suitable conversion. Will report as bug.

Thanks all :)

It looks as if with no rule, MM does not recognise that no conversion is happeneing e.g. here it is falsely IDing some auto-listed tracks as for deletion:

Anyone got sync to work without conversion??

Have I done something wrong here? I have SUBST drive with d_USBMass1.dll to which MM syncs fine when converting to WAV, but after I uncheck that conversion:

the Auto-Sync amd manual sync do absolutely nothing!
