Thanks nohitter...

One point that might need revision. 3GS phones work fine with the beta plugin-as long as they are on 3.0 iphone OS.

This situation changes minute by minute....locking it could create more confusion.
I think I may have locked it by accident - anyway its unlocked now.

I've just updated it, hopefully that information is up-to-date now.

The new beta in the Beta Forum supports iTunes 9 and the 3.0 firmware. The 3.1 firmware isn't supported yet, but supporting it is being worked on.

It is dated Sept. 16. 2007. Its not clear if this is old and referring to previous MM versions or is talking about current...it refers to the 3GS which confuses things even more.

There is a lot of confusion and frustration surrounding the iphone 3.1 OS and itunes 9 so it might be a good idea to clarify things there.

We ALL realize MM is not the culprit in this compatibility issue. I'm pretty sure most realize that Apple is ACTIVELY working to create these problems.

This problem will not go away. Multipurpose devices are becoming more and more prevalent in the marketplace...single purpose music players are on a dramatic decline.
The more the devs and the moderators can help in advising and keeping information regarding compatibility issues clear the better for everyone.

I am a long time MM user and spend a lot of time here on the MM support forums...yet it is never easy or clear to me exactly what is going on when the compatibility issues arise...a simple misunderstanding and it can become VERY difficult and inconvenient using the devices and software...

We would all give in in a second and pay up gladly if there were an App that smoothed the compatibility....would this assuage Apple? I would give them anything just to leave me alone....
