Did some superficial testing and it seems that what I'll be missing out on if I use iTunes to sync while we wait for MM to have that capability is that ratings and play counts wont get updated in MM if they change in the touch.

Is there anything else more destructive, like files getting corrupted or anything like that? Or is having ratings and play counts not syncing the only disadvantage? (other than having to actually use iTunes ;-)

I've decided not to try the beta and wait till all the issues are resolved and there is a stable release. Just got my first iPod (touch 3g; had Sansa and Zune in the past) and I'm considering using iTunes to sync so I can have some music on it .... what are the pros/cons using iTunes to sync, while using MM for library management, desktop playback, etc? Thanks!
