I disagree with you here, users can be stuck with them when they have no need for them. Deleting them and having them stay deleted with upgrades makes more sense.

As with WMP does for items deleted from the library, MM should offer the option to have them reinstalled if a user laters wants them back. At the minimum, MM should offer an option to disable them.
