CAD dev and Peke from MM are working on the problem. :)

Okay, I thought it was something in MM itself. So it must be something else for me that's causing the crashes.
(I haven't installed any third party programs or plugins for MM)

Could this have anything to do with CD Art Display?
Are there any known issues with it? I ran it on my laptop when I had Vista, and there were no problems, but I DO have a different OS now...
Possibly, especially if this always happens during track transitions. I'd disable it temporarily and see if the issues continue.
Where do you disable "CD Art Display". I seem to also have that problem.

CD Art Display is third party software that doesn't come with MM, so it's only there if you installed it yourself. If you did you could just simply not load it to 'disable' it.

I have read your ticket, and waiting to see are l CAD Developers willing to help in this matter. As I see CAD see MM as Winamp and assumes that it is Winamp so this is why I asked for contacting CAD dev team and see if they are willing to provide information that will help us fix this on both sides.

Jumping in here (just noticed this topic), I have the exact same problem with the tracks greying out when using CAD.

I am not sure if this has been acknowledged in view of this topic but a couple of days ago I send a bug report, including two dbview logs that describe this problem. It can be found here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... ketid=8040

I am not sure how those tickets are handled since I haven't seen any changes over there, but I thought I'd point it out. Maybe it helps. :D

I would love to see MM & CAD work together.

If you would kind enough to ask CAD admins to send us/you list of Winamp MSGs needed/used by CAD we would be more than glad to check what is going on. Based on my brief look problem is with handling of Winamp MSG 640 (IPC_GETRATING)

EDIT: It looks CAD can't work with MM returned Rating values/system. Actually it looks that CAD do not detect MM as separate player but instead it thinks that MM is Winamp. (But that is again another issue)

Can you please confirm this with CAD Developers?

Winamp according to the CDAD dev
I meant in mp3/wma tags. I don't know much about the Winamp API so I don't think I can help you there.

MM handles ratings the same way as WMP as far as I know.

I think it was CDAD, it's running a whole lot more stably now
