So my sister just gave me an iphone 3gs with no charger so ive been using my ipod nano usb and now im trying to put music on my iphone i tried downloading itunes but something kept interupting it so i searched and found MM so i downloaded it and transfered songs from my music downloader to the MM library and when i try to sync my iphone it says no active device has been detected please reconnect the device or reconfigure it so i did and it keeps saying the same thing over and over i also looked up on youtube how to do it i watched a video and my device wasnt popping up on the side like the persons one did on the video. Is it because i have an iphone hooked up with my ipod usb?
please help id really like if music would be on my phone, id appreciate the help!

I just rebuilt my PC yesterday with Win7 Pro 64-Bit and I can't get MM to see my iPod Touch (3 Gen).
It shows up in iTunes (10.5) and shows up in Explorer as a "Portable Device" but nothing in MM. I haven't tried my old iPod yet, but will let you know.

I'm running MM 1451

Re Same Phone same problem
Forgot to mention one thing. If I plug the phone in after Windows has loaded, it does ask me if I want to associate it with MM, to which I say "yes", of course.

Tried it on a PC running Win 7(64) last night. Same thing, except I dont think the phone showed up anywhere as a camera.

I've not tried it with MM/iOS5 since as far as I can tell there's been no useful progress or even indications of interest, since February, until today. I hope you'll get it. I like MM except for not being able to use it on my phone, which is an important component in my listening toolkit.

There's been an announcement on the front page for a couple weeks now regarding iOS 5.

Don't be so melodramatic  . We're working on it right now, as is mentioned at the above link.

I have reinstalled iTunes 10.5.0 (because it was hanging when backing up), having removed (and therefore reinstalled) QT, bonjour and the 2 Apple services that come with iTunes. The phone shows up fine in iTunes but not MM. It is a shame because I hate iTunes. Any ideas?

I'd really like this to work, it would be 10x easier than iTunes for transcoding. iTunes and QuickTime say they are OK. Maybe I'll install MM again just for grins.
Its really hard to say. It should work, and it seems to work for most people, so something must be different on your system. Try to reinstall MM, iTunes, and quicktime. who knows?

A device (actually as a camera). It isn't supposed to show up as a drive, not the iPhone or Touch. Just ipods do that.
