For tagging the art, just select all the tracks from the CD you just ripped in MM, highlight them, and then auto-tag from web.

In order not to "rip" the songs you don't want, just do the following: Before you choose what format (mp3, I'm guessing), hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click the songs that you do want to rip. Then, when you've selected them, click the mp3 button and EAC will rip only those that are highlighted. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone, I'm getting there but making very slow progress trying to understand how it all works.
Seems you have to autotag every single track on the CD with the artwork - looking for a way where you only have to do it once and all the tracks would appear with the artwork.
Having a lot of trouble getting the songs from EAC to MM too - I seem to get there in the end but I'm sure there must be an eaiser way of doing it.

Also I don't seem to be able to delete songs on the CD in EAC I don't want to rip and goes through the whole album - but as I say I will figure it out I'm sure.

Thanks for all the help anyway - I'm a bit old and not really that switched on to all the modern ideas so thanks for your patience.

Not to hijack this thread, but I do not type in my song titles unless I have something very obscure. Alt-G contacts freedb and from there the artist and song titles are filled in. From there all I need to do is tweak "Bob Songster" to "Songster, Bob". Hope this may save you some time. :)

If you're unwilling to look up Album Art manually per Album you could try: http://mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic. ... art+finder

Just use Tools > Auto-tag from web to get the art.

Re: EAC - I think it's worth it since MM does not have the same failsafes to ensure accurate ripping, but really only worth it if you're ripping to a lossless format (like FLAC, wav, etc.)

MM4 will have accurate ripping and accuraterip to confirm that the CD was ripped without errors.

You are correct - EAC does not pick up the song titles either so I have to manually type them in.
So back to the art issue. Does this mean you have to scan the artwork in then add it later in MM.

Fairly new to all this but in your own personal view is there much to be had using EAC or would you just use MM to rip and then send to the MP3. You can still produce Flac files in MM can't you.

Just wondered if I'm wasting my time using EAC?

Thanks,

GR.

I use EAC also and album art is not added at the time of MP3 creation that I'm aware of. I need to add it manually after in MM.

What type of files? Does EAC even tag album art (I'm relatively certain it does not)?

This has probably been asked before, if so apologies!!!

But I cannot get any album art to appear. I am using EAC then transferring into MM but the artwork does not appear like when I use Windows Media Player, then it appears automatically.

Thanks for any advice.

GEE.
