1) With no CD-ROM in drive, launch then File | Exit - OK
2) With a MM-burned CD-ROM of MP3 in drive, launch then File | Exit (even after 10 mins) - MM says:
There are background processes running. Terminate them?
[Yes] [No]
A debug log of 2 shows MM is reading the tags of the CD-ROM files, despite that the CD-ROM drive or its tracks are not on display in any pane.
