i must have mis read your post? i thought you were talking about the paper and pencil list when you said toss it in the back.? but did you mean part? if so then that is always an option but sometimes the parts are only found in mail order.

can't take that to them in the magazine they wouldn't know what to do

darn and this is to be the great and grand Techy era. what a bunch of whooy..

i'll have to use the back seat of the pick up cause the pickup bed will have the wind blow out the paper going down the road.
and my luck a cop will stop me for littering.

thats what they other forum's member said but that too is over my head. do you know of any free offline program that lets me set up my own questions for the form so i can have it do the database and me do the form? 8)

if not i'll just have to go back to paper and pencil.

way off topic, database help

i'm trying to make a form in html that will save to an html database or an text file.
i want to use it as an off line garage parts organizer, i've got the html form made, all works except the
submit button. it keeps reloading the form to the top of the page.??

no matter what i do i can't get it to save the page i can get it to send me email with the data but i don't want
that i want to use it off line only and have it send the data to a file in the same or in another folder.

do any of you know how or if that is possible? or if not possible is there any program for free that is already to use
off line that will allow me to make an garage inventory database?
i've searched on line and only can find free tool bars for searching online.(which is not what i want.)
so i've asked in some help forums but got told its not able to be done off line.,

so i've come here where i know you guys work with database's and asked. cause i know monkey works off line.
so there's got to be a way to get or got to be an already made freeware program for making an inventory for my garage.

thanks for any help but remember my statement below. i'm not able to do anything other then old school html web pages. 8)
