trixmoto that link to tell me how to skin toaster did not work.

but i went and downloaded toaster and found how to make the skins for it.

i have for all you toaster users found how to make it work in media monkey and how to get it to skin in media monkey.

go to the artwork forum and read my post on skinning toaster in media monkey.

as for using the winamp player in media monkey instead of the media monkey player. and using toaster you will need to use a winamp skin that is able to skin the winamp media library.

All My dual winamp skins and Media monkey skins will skin toaster when used on the wiamp player.

the only way to get toaster to skin in media monkey is to do it the way i said in the post in the artwork forum room.

I suggest that you either make your own toaster skins. which is really simple or you request the author of your favorite media monkey skins to make one that will match with their full skin.

Toaster is a winamp plugin that works with MM: http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=138586

If you use any of my skins (currently just Brushed Monkey) I could send you a matching background image.

ADDITION: Here is a toaster skin for Brushed Monkey. toast.bmp - save in the same directory as toaster.ini

Also, for rovingcowboy and others, once you've installed Toaster there is information on skinning it here: "...\Plugins\gen_toaster.htm"

I've got that one too :D

I would like to know how to make it look something like this with rounded corners and such:

Can it be done when using MM or is it only possible to skin toaster like this when using WinAmp?

Maybe I'm missing something but I can't figure it out. :(

Here is "mine"...
But remember the visual effect will also be affected by your settings (font size, amount of data, shadow, etc.).

I've tried MM skins and WinAmp skins but toaster is not affected by them at all. Sure I can choose custom skin and use a bitmap of my choice but I only have some lame pictures to use and it does not look very good. Anyone got some cool skins I can use that works?

okay now you got my intrest peaked?

do i need to make new images for the toaster plugin?

or does it already use the same panel as the skins for monkey have?

by the way you can also check out my skins they work on both media monkey and winamp.

http://www.angelfire.com/tx3/rovingcowb ... loads.html

there are screen shots there of the skins

just click on the text links or the images to download the skins.

you will then have to unzip them in to the skins folder for media monkey and or winamp if you want to use it in both.

the only one that wont be in a zip file is the WMP skin.

start making skins your self i think we need lots of different ideas for skins.

Winamp skins do not contain all the files needed, as MM has more screens. Check out the Artwork forum for skins. Try searching for my Brushed Monkey! :)

Ok, but this option only allow me to use bitmaps as background. Where can I find bitmaps that will skin properly? I do not know how to make my own skin. If anyone have some nice skin please share :D

Is it not possible to use the skins thats made for use in WinAmp?

Yes it is.
What's your problem?
You need to access the plugin settings via "Tools | Options | General plugins | Toaster (my version is 0.7.5)". Then go to Skin tab, and select "Custom | Browse" for instance. After validating the settings, a file "c:\toaster.ini" will be generated: do not remove it!

Hope this helped...

i don't even know what toaster is? :o

besides the one in the kitchen that i make 4 slices of toasted bread with.

but off hand i would say it is a plugin. and no plugins dont get skined with this skin of media monkey.
