Hi Lowlander,

thanks for the adding to the list.

BTW: The same problem is with the exported playlists from MM 3.2.4 and 3.2.5 - not only with Winamp.

Still the same problem with the 1373.

With trixmoto's "Recreate m3u"-script, which generates a fixed playlist, all titles are shown in the "Imported m3u-Playlists"-node.
But not, if you import them without the script.

With the 1371 I have the same problem.

Exporting and Importing the playlists with MM 4 is not the problem - that works fine.
Now I remember, that the playlists were exported with MM 3.2.4 or MM 2.5.5 !

Here is the code exported with MM 2 or 3 and Winamp 5:

Code: Select all

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:217,Michael Bublé - Save The Last Dance For Me (StarCity Remix) (CC)
U:\Maxis_Top100\Maxis\2005-2009\Bublé, Michael\Save the last dance for me\01 - Save The Last Dance For Me (StarCity Remix) - Michael Bublé.mp3
And that's the code from MM 4:

Code: Select all

#EXTM3U
#EXTINFUTF8:217,Michael Bublé - Save The Last Dance For Me (StarCity Remix) (CC)
#EXTINF:217,Michael Bublé - Save The Last Dance For Me (StarCity Remix) (CC)
#UTF8:U:\Maxis_Top100\Maxis\2005-2009\Bublé, Michael\Save the last dance for me\01 - Save The Last Dance For Me (StarCity Remix) - Michael Bublé.mp3
U:\Maxis_Top100\Maxis\2005-2009\Bublé, Michael\Save the last dance for me\01 - Save The Last Dance For Me (StarCity Remix) - Michael Bublé.mp3

On 1371 I can import a playlist with Michael Bublé that was exported from MediaMonkey.

MediaMonkey M3U format that works:

Code: Select all

#EXTM3U
#EXTINFUTF8:192,Michael Bublé - Bill Bailey
#EXTINF:192,Michael Bublé - Bill Bailey
#UTF8:\\lowlander01\Qmultimedia\Music\M\Michael Bublé\[2001] Babalu\Michael Bublé - 07 - Bill Bailey.mp3
\\lowlander01\Qmultimedia\Music\M\Michael Bublé\[2001] Babalu\Michael Bublé - 07 - Bill Bailey.mp3

1365: MM4 and m3u-playlists [#7825]

by djragman » Tue May 10, 2011 9:50 am

Hi everybody,

I have a problem with importing m3u-playlists generated by Winamp 5.

OS: WinXP SP3
MM: 4.0.0.1365

If a playlist contains titles which contains german "special" nouns (like ö, ä, ü, ß etc. - f.e. "Christiane Stürmer" or "Die Ärzte") or some kind of accent (f.e. Michael Bublé), these ones are not shown over the Imported m3u-Playlists-node, but I can find them with the DB-Search.

If I opened the same playlist over the "My Computer"-Node, all titles are shown and can be played.

Does someone has the same problem ?

Regards,
Michael
