I don't fully understand, what exact steps are necessary to reproduce the problem? Could you also please send me a debug log of starting a freedb query on this CD?

With build 1388 of MediaMonkey 4, putting in a CD with unicode letters in the info (e.g. a Japanese CD) as shown below appears to work normally.

After changing the focus within MM or simillar, the artist and album info gets scrambled as shown below:

Unicode in MediaMonkey 4 for the album info bit is somewhat broken in MM4 beta, I put one of my Japanese CDs in and was greeted by the following screens for the respective MM versions.

I used the album "Miku no Kandume" (みくのかんづめ) for the screenshot but this happens with all of them. However, if I type the Japanese lettering in, it works normally
