This should be fixed in the latest build.

Thank you for this confirmation.
I am using File Monitoring and did not observe the transitory reappearance of Album Artist info (I systematically refresh the view after the addition of an album). But, globally, we have the same problem.
I hope it will be addressed.

I looked at an Album ripped to FLAC by EAC in MM4:
1) In My Computer no Album Artist
2) Scan files in
3) Right after scan MM shows Album Artist in My Computer for a moment (than removes it again)
4) Music Collection shows Album Artist
5) Leaving MM on My Computer showed Album Artist for 1 track after some time
6) Refresh of node removed it again

Same Album (not opened in MM4 to make sure nothing was edited by MM4)
1) In My Computer shows Album Artist
2) Scan files in
3) Library shows Album Artist

Here, I was speaking about the Music node.

Yes, that is apparently supposed to happen in the My Computer node. It will not show the Album Artist, but opening Properties will show it prefilled. If you open a single files properties and OK out of it it will update the Album Artist, but it won't on multiple files as you will need to check box. The result with me is that I will have some files with Album Artist and some not.

I have just added a set of music files in my monitored folder.
I launch MM4: the new files appear in the track list with an empty album artist field.
I close MM4 and launch MM3: the files appear with a filled in album artist field.

Moreover, in MM4, opening "Properties" file per file show the record with a filled in Album Artist field but when you leave the Properties windows, the Album Artist column is still empty in the tree view.

Regards.

No it didn't. The behavior was the same as it is now. Eg if you go into properties and the file has an album value but nothing for album artist, it will copy artist to album artist.

I did some verifications with Tagscanner. In fact, the Album Artist field of the files I do import is empty.

I can not reproduce that. Isn't the album artist field blank when you scan in the files? In that case, it should show as blank.

Hi,
This bug was also present on build 1383.

1) Add files in a monitored folder.
2) The tracks immediately appear in the tracklist ('Music" view). OK.
3) If you previously added an 'album artist' column in the view, you can notice that the 'album artist' fields are not filled.
4) If you select any recently added track and display its properties, you can see that the album artist field is present and filled.
5) One bad effect is that, if you want to edit artwork, the artwork is added to just one track because every new track is considered as belonging to a different album (as the 'album artist' field is absent).

I hope that my explanations are clear enough. Do not hesitate to ask for details.

Kind regards. Bon courage!

Gil
