I've always considered posting feedback my duty to the developers and the software especially software like media monkey which its developers take feedback seriously. I'm happy to help.

Thank YOU. Without the detailed report and your persistence it wouldn't have gotten fixed.

Uh, maybe it means a selected playlist.

Exactly. You got me ;)

I assume it would be an optimization that might make MM just slightly faster in case of slow PC and large Filelisting and thus a good thing to change.

When the "correct" word is important that the used word causes some confusion. That's why I asked, what do you think the playlist window means?! I cannot imagine anywhere else for this name.
Anyway...
Yes, nohitter151. You're completely right. The cursor position and the items stay still but all that I said was, if it is not necessary the user shouldn't see any refresh at all because these two are not connected at all (if it was showing now playing in this view, they was connected though). I don't have the code but it was just a suggestion. If it won't cause any trouble for the developers, I think it would be better. IMHO. This is not a "problem" in a million years ;)

How am I supposed to reproduce when I don't know what and where you're doing something? Using the correct naming is vital to reproducing the problem, and especially in this case!

Regardless, I still don't see the problem. Yes, the view is refreshed. But the item selection and the scroll position are not lost in the main window. So what is the problem?

I might be misunderstanding here but if the correct terms are not used than that increases the chances for misunderstandings. A perfect case in point because the two of you could be using the same words to describe two different things, which would not be helpful in resolving the issue(s) that are causing the problems.

I'm just explaining the name in MediaMonkey. It's much clearer to use the MM name as Playlist is used for something else. You just got into words about it.

And where is the playlist exactly? When you think about it 'Now Playing' is not a correct word for it. Because not all of the items in that list are currently playing. 'Playlist' on the other hand is fully describing what it is. I realize that it's the word that MM is using but when I say 'Playlist' you should get what I'm talking about since almost all of the other media playing softwares call it 'Playlist'. I wonder what window you thought I was talking about. Which window could I possibly be calling 'Playlist' other than that?
Don't get so into the words. The point is to resolve an issue not using the correct words. I try to keep in mind to call it 'Now Playing' from now on, though.

That would be called Now Playing window.

Well let me get it straight. First of all in my layout I can see both playlist and "Music" library view. So I can be in both at the same time. I didn't say I was in Now Playing view. The message is just what the MM dialog option says. So to clarify what I said, I think I should use a screenshot.
