Fixed with .1418 for me!

Exact same problem as Falcon... disk initially recognized, but while accessing all info disappears and drive locks up. turning off MM4 resolves the problem.

This seems to make no sense for me. And something else: after closing with CD in drive MM4 immediately restarts and tries to rip the CD, which is blocked or not vissible at all.

or they can add an option in the ripping options to lock drive while ripping like most of the other ripping programs do.

exclusive mode should only be active when doing the actual ripping, but seems like its always on.

Yeah, I think it is related to the change of the "exclusive mode". As it seems to work for some users... I guess an option to deactivate exclusive mode would be the best solution for this!

I don't use mm to rip, and when I insert a cd with MM4-1415 running it causes all other programs to lose access to cd rom.
Same problem here windows 7 if mm4 is open then i can't access my drives + virtual ones too, they appear blank or appear not to have any discs in does not matter which type of disc, can be audio/data/dvd. Once mm is closed problem solved

With v 4.0.0.1415, it is not possible to rip Audio CDs. After putting an audio CD into the optical drive, MediaMonkey recognizes the CD. But as soon as I try to download Info from FreeDB or rip the CD, it gives an error and the CD isn't detected any more. The drive access seems to be locked by MM, as I can't access the CD with other tools, then.

After closing MM I can access the CD and play or rip the CD without any problems in other tools like Windows Media Player etc.

I filed this, together with a Debug log in ticket ID TYF-804958.
The automatic Debug-Routine of MM sent in a Crashdump, too.
