And if you enable and change the setting to not delete does it still delete?

Thanks Lowlander, unfortunately that doesn't work, I haven't got Podcasts enabled.

Tools > Options > Podcasts and disable deleting of older episodes. I presume, but I'm not sure, that it might use Genre to define what's a Podcast.

Media Monkey Randomly calling files Podcasts then deleting

Hi

I use a programme called Radio Downloader, to make mp3's of radio shows to listen to on my ipod. And use Media Monkey to manage my collection and fill my pod.

For some reason Media Monkey has decided that these aren't proper MP3 but podcasts. This means they are put into a seperate folder on my iPod called "podcasts". Whilst this is inconvenient, my real problem is that it seems to be deleting the files from my computer's hard-drive after a month.

Is there anyway to configure Media Monkey so that it treats these files as files and not podcasts? In fact is there a way to prevent Media Monkey from downgrading any files to podcasts and removing the whole stupid "podcast" concept from Media Monkey? Can I recover the deleted files from somewhere?
