Ignore me - 1444 has brought up a list of files to delete, a few of which I'm certain haven't changed but they aren't all of the flac files, which is what I thought was happening before.

No, not within one build but yes between builds. I'll be able to double check this when the next one comes out but I'm pretty sure.

I cannot replicate using your device profile.
1. I checked just one playlist including 1 FLAC file.
2. Auto-Sync (MM converted FLAC->MP3 and uploaded)
3. Auto-Sync again and MM correctly do nothing during this sync and doesn't offer anything to delete
4. Unchecked the playlist
5. Auto-Sync
=> MM correctly offers to delete the MP3 file (that was converted from FLAC)

Do you experiencing anything different?

Just one question, it seems to need to delete and resync anything that's been converted, is that expected behaviour?

Should be fixed in build 1442.

I have a clue where the problem lies, just to confirm my speculation I need one more thing from you.

Go to Device->Options->Device Profile
and click [Export device options...]
It will export you device options to a MMDC file and attach here the file,

I also noticed another, probably associated, problem. In the last build of MM, the number of files still to sync had got to about 80, whereas it's now much higher (461). Looking at the log it seems to not be recognising FLAC files that have been converted to MP3 as matching on the sync list. Either way, it didn't ask me about deleting them or other files that really aren't on the sync list.

Thanks for the log, unfortunatelly I've just found that the new messages aren't included in the build 1440 for some reason. Probably I commited the messages while the build was already in the building process.
So we need to wait for 1441.
Please run the DbgView app before you run build 1441 so that I could see whole the log and also the build number.

If the tracks are in \Music\ folder and the sync location is configured as
\Music\<Album Artist>\<Album>\$If(<Disc#>,<Disc#>\,)<Track#:2> <Title>
then the file should be deleted.

I added more debug messages to see why the files aren't deleted for you, so re-generate log in build 1440 please.
