I've seen this bug for a few versions, but it still happening in 1442.
In AlbumArt + Details view, when I sort by 'Album Artist' column, albums are, in fact, sorted by FIRST LETTER of Album Artist, and then by Album name. If you test this against a small sample of tracks, you may not notice the bug, but do it using a large amount of tracks and you'll see it.
I've made a collage of screenshots to illustrate the issue (sorry for the huge image size). Notice that AC/DC is spread all over the listing. Before you ask: no, I didn't use any 'Ctrl' modifier to add a second sort criteria. I can assure: in screenshot below, only "Album Art" was used to sort.
I ask you guys to confirm this, so I can open an issue in Mantis.
