Jea, thats it. If album art is selected the sorting function of the playlist have no effect. Thanks for the (hopefully) temporarily solution. After installation the "text only" was default.

Sorting on Artist works for me too in both Now Playing window and node.

It works 1 time after Installation. So I have the same bug.

Yep, I can confirm that. The triangle switches between up and down, but no sorting occurs no matter which category you try and sort by.

EDIT - In fact, if you click on Artist in Now Playing so that it's sorted Z-A, then you restart MM, you'll find that your main library is actually sorted from Z-A, rather than Now Playing. The same is true if you then switch to A-Z and restart the program, so this has to be a bug.

The sort links in the Now Playing window seem to have stopped working for me. Clicking on Artist, for example, alternates between the upward and downward triangle, but no sorting occurs. Interestingly, when I click Edit>Undo, it lists sort actions that can be undone.

The Randomize and Reverse options under Edit still work.
