Yup, I tried it out last night on 1473 and the bug appears to be fixed and resolved.

Can confirm that problem appears to be fixed in [1473] :)

Just to confirm that I am also using debug version in portable mode and a crash log was also automatically generated and sent.

The program sent one automatically after an error (using 1472 debug version), which was how I received an error message.

Seeing that someone else already experienced the error, can you tell me what you steps you performed that didn't yield one? n=2 is a better sample size than n=1 (not by much though). It can't be an issue with the db (relative sizes, etc) since the "file list" search function under a genre node or autoplaylist works fine in "Show Details" view but not in the other two views that display album art thumbnails.

Searching via "current collection" or "entire library" remains unaffected. However, when I want to search within a genre or an artist's discography, being able to search the current file list is much more convenient, especially if I am under an autoplaylist that spans several genre (i.e. alternative, alternative pop, noise pop, dream pop, lo-fi, rock, etc).

I can't reproduce. Maybe sending a debug log (step 4b) to support will show why you see this: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341

Yep same here :(

Search bar throws up errors under Show art & details [#9123]

by theta_wave » Fri Feb 10, 2012 6:38 pm

When viewing my collection under the filelist view "Show art with details," I keep getting the following error when trying to find a track using the search bar (set to file list):
TControl.InvalidateControl : can't be called outside of main thread ! (M:\Sources\MediaMonkey403MM\MP3Datab\Controls.pas, line 6399).
It has been this way since I tried using the search bar around the 1470 release. Queries through the search bar works fine after switching the filelist view to "Show details" (all text). The error comes back when switching to the view to "Show Art with Details." I even tried optimizing my db (complete), and the error still shows up with "Show Art with Details."

Here are the fields I ticked off for the search bar to seek (nothing exotic):

Commentary: The filelist view "Show Art with Details" seems quite buggy in MM4 compared to MM3 (see my sig). Hopefully these bugs can ironed out eventually.

Note: I was about to post about a regression in 1471 with "Find More of the Same > Explorer," but it seems to be fixed in 1472.

EDIT: Using Mediamonkey 4.0.3.1472 debug (full install)
OS: Win 7 x64
