@ lowlander:
Really, I am not even going to entertain that question. Seriously, that is just assinign. Of course I am not trying to sync more than what my device holds! To make matters worse, I get to my flight, plug in my headphones, and poof, MM4 didn't even add any music to the library! It confirmed their having synced on the device, but there I was. Thankfully Jet Blue is not as incompetent as MM; they had XM for me to listen to. Any answers? How about just a simple apology for their inability to provide a worthy consumer product to loyal customers?! COME ON MM!!!
MM will allow you to chose as much as you want to sync, it isn't going to think for you. If you have more chosen to sync than capacity, like Lowlander says, you will get a warning. Also, as I said in an earlier post, when I first tried to sync using MM4 it couldn't read my devices correctly and I kept getting the "not enought room on device" error. I deleted all music on each device and started over. Small price to pay to use the excellent Media Monkey.
Seriously, not a single mod response?! Here's the deal, MM4 doesn't interact with mod devices well AT ALL. I am wondering how hard it could possibly be to make the program do a hash comparison of files in the sync list (similar to de-nisting) and only add the necessary files not found on the initial sync library. I mean, that is from a guy who has zero programming knowledge here. The solutions are out there to fix this problem, all you have to do is find and apply them.
This is exactly what MM does, if you configure your device correctly.
