Open Windows Explorer (Windows Key + E)
Navigate to any mp3 file
Right Click on it
Select Properties from the menu that pops up
Near the top of this window you will see a line which reads "Open With" an icon, then a Change button.
Click Change
Select MediaMonkey

Alternately, you can right click on the mp3
Select Open With from the menu
Select Choose Program
Select MediaMonkey from the next screen
And tick the box reading Always Use the Selected Program to Open This Kind of File.

lowlander : Please clearly advise the detailed steps of performing "Right click on MP3 in Windows Explorer > Properties and change the default program to M" as being little confused. Do I have to run a MP3 file to have that done?
Thanks for the procedures provided!

lowlander: thanks for the advice. When I click okay at OS integration, all my mp3 files in folders and files in Drive C/D are still in Windows Media Player logo sign. Do I have to remove and re-install mediamonkey again to get this done? Thanks!

MP3 files logo sign

by hkw » Mon Mar 19, 2012 10:01 pm

Originally all my mp3 files are in Mediamonkey logo sign. Weeks before, I discovered they were all in RealPlayer logo sign and when I removee RealPlayer, they changed to Windows Media Player logo sign.
Please advise how I can have all my mp3 files back into mediamonkey logo sign and thanks for the assistance!
