May be this screenshot makes things bit clear.

I played one song on iphone and connected the phone. I clicked on the iphone in MM and navigated to Music node(I've not synced the phone). After a while i checked the playcount. It shows following :

One trend that i noticed is that, most of the song's playcount has been increased by factor of 2. i.e. increase count is 42.Actual should be 21.

Please note the play count has been increased for the songs which have not played. The played song shows correct playcount.

fyi, I'm unable to replicate this issue either (tested with iOS 5.1.1).

I don't know exact steps to replicate. Here is what i tried.
I connected the iphone and checked the files in iphone. Here the count is in thousand. I don't know whether this is causing the issue.

Now before sync if i look at the playcount in MM then it is fine. Now if i sync the phone then it increases the count. Please note that it increases the count of the songs which have not played on iphone.

Hi, I cannot replicate this issue, tested with 4.0.5.1495

1. Created playlist 'Sync' including one song with Played# = 5
2. Added the playlist 'Sync' on the sync list and synced to the device
3. Played the song on the device
4. Synced again and Played# correctly increased to 6 (verified via MediaMonkey interface and via iTunes interface)

The only issue I found is that I needed to restart MM or re-plug iPhone between steps 3 & 4, this issue is entered as http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=9398

What are your steps to replicate this?

I've noticed that if i play the song on iphone [ ios 5.0.1] and then sync it with MM [win 7 x64, build:.149x]. MM increases the played count manifold usually in 100x Number.

Does anyone else is facing the same issue?
